Design: All our custom guitar speaker cabinets are designed for optimum performance of the chosen speaker.

Construction: Covered with high quality marine tolex, cabinets are made of solid wood and Baltic Birch 13ply best quality plywood. We choose either Pine or Alder for wooden models. The sonic and resonant quality of these woods is similar as well as the hardness of the woods. Baffles are 3/4" 13ply Baltic Birch. Joints are Through Dovetails (the strongest joint).

Speakers: Weber VST is standard on all models.
We try to cover a wide range of tones. British flavoured cabs have Blue Pups and Blue Dogs that stack up extremely strong against commonly appreciated Selection Blue, making Vox's come alive (especially reissues).
American flavoured models feature speakers like 12A125A, 12A150T that truly capture vintage Jensen character, working extremely well with single coil Strats, Teles, Hollow Body models and tube amps.

Wiring: All models are wired in parallel for high effeciency ( +3Db parallel, -3Db series).

Warranty: 5 year limited warranty covering cabinet construction and 1 year limited warranty covering speakers.

Custom Guitar Speaker Cabinets - Studio Series

Design: All cabinets are designed for optimum performance of the chosen speaker.
These cabinets are front ported, closed back design. The closed back ensures consistency of sound regardless of the wall structure behind the cabinet as well as phase alignment.

* Some 210 Models as well as the 112 model feature large front ports that are almost equal to the speaker cone diameter. In combination with carefully calculated cabinet volume, they will double the acoustic output of two speakers and produce sound that is full and rich, normally never considered to come out of a 210 cab.
The lower power of the speakers is meant to complement the studio environment and is suitable for lower powered amps to drive them very effectively at moderate volume levels.

212 models have tuned front ports.

Construction: We choose fine local woods to build these cabinets. The West Coast is abundant in Maple and Alder that are both superb choices for construction as well as aesthetics of these finely finished cabinets. The baffles are 3/4" 13ply Baltic Birch. Joints are handcut Through Dovetails (the strongest joint). Additional internal bracing is employed to further reduce internal vibration transfer, as well as superior wall insulation to reduce the effect of standing waves inside the cabinet.

Finishing: After the cabinet is assembled, the wood is sealed and coated with several coats of our homemade finish and then polished to give it that rich look of finely finished furniture. We recommend buffing it with a lint free, soft cloth if a higher sheen is desired.

Some feel that wood gets "dinged" and scratched and that a wooden cabinet should stay put in the studio. Although we agree that these cabinets will be better preserved in a studio, wood can easily be refinished and polished to maintain the same look for years and years only becoming better and deeper in colour with time. Vinyl, or Tolex covered cabinets are harder to repair if the covering gets torn or scratched. A wooden cabinet will age gracefully and turn into an heirloom to be treasured and revered.

New: Right now we are testing an impedance equalizer circuit that will allow us to tame high frequency spikes and balance the output curve even further, producing a superbly smooth and flat response never before seen in guitar speakers.

Custom Guitar Speaker Cabinets -Tweed Series
Tweed Covered Cabinets are coming by August 2006

Design: All cabinets are designed for optimum performance of the chosen speaker.
There are a couple of design choices here. Knowing the history of vintage Tweeds, we want to offer something that matches well the look, size and feel. We offer a typical 212 just slightly deeper than the original. A 410 to match the Bassman combo or DeVille / Deluxe and a front ported closed back 210 which is deeper and lighter.

We favour speakers like 12A125A, that truly capture vintage Jensen character working extremely well with single coil Strats and Tele's, making these cabs a great match to any vintage Fender, Fender style custom and DIY amps, as well as superb extension cabs for Bandmaster, Super Reverb, Twin, Blues DeVille, HotRod DeVille and of course the BASSMAN.
